Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) Detection Using AlexNet Model

نویسندگان

چکیده

Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) is a kind of fatal blood cancer with high death rate caused by abnormal cells’ rapid growth in the human body. The usual method to detect AML manual microscopic examination sample, which tedious and time-consuming requires skilled medical operator for accurate detection. In this work, we proposed an AlexNet-based classification model images compared its performance LeNet-5-based Precision, Recall, Accuracy, Quadratic Loss. experiments are conducted on dataset four thousand smear samples. results show that AlexNet was able identify 88.9% correctly 87.4% precision 98.58% accuracy, whereas LeNet-5 identified 85.3% 83.6% 96.25% accuracy.

Effective Dendritic Cell-based Immunotherapeutic Vaccines for Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML)

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a type of poor prognosis hematological malignancies characterized by heterogeneous clonal expansion of myeloid progenitors. Leukemic stem cells are thought to form the majority of a cell population in minimal residual diseases (MRDs) which are resistant to current chemotherapeutic regimens and mediate disease relapse. Current therapeutic vaccine strategies have d...

acute myeloid leukemia (aml): the role of intensive induction chemotherapy

intensive induction therapy-in acute myeloid leukemia (aml), as in some other systemic malignancies- is a strategy fundamentally different from post-remission strategies. approaches like consolidation treatment, prolonged mainte nance, and autologous or allogeneic transplantation in the first remission are directed against minimal residual disease with a malignant cell population having survive...

acute myeloid leukemia (aml): the role of maintenance chemo¬therapy

maintenance treatment for patients with acute myeloid leukemia (aml) in remission has recently been controversially discussed and even abandoned by several groups. an analysis of 16 published multicenter trials, however, revealed the highest probabilities of relapse free survival (rfs) in the range of 35-42 % at 4-5 years only in patients assigned to maintenance treatment when adult age and int...

Unique RUNX1 Gene Rearrangements in Acute Myeloid Leukemia Identified (AML)¬¬¬¬

Case 1: A 9 year old male was referred for fever, fatigue, and pancytopenia. Bone marrow analysis revealed hypercellularity with a mixture of myeloblasts and immature monocytes comprising 90% of cells as determined by both morphology and flow cytometry. Molecular analysis for mutations in FLT3, NMP1 and C-KIT were negative, and FISH revealed rearrangement of RUNX1 locus into the chromosome 7p22...
